Atlantic Psychological Practice, P.A. is a private practice specializing in the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents who exhibit behavioral and emotional disorders. Treatment and assessment for adults and couples is also offered. Our clinicians are very experienced and knowledgeable, averaging 26 years of experience in providing mental health services. We strive to perform complete and accurate diagnostic evaluations in a timely manner. Diagnostic evaluations are generally completed in 2-3 visits, which focus on collecting information to make an accurate determination of the cause of the presenting difficulties and to highlight specific treatment options. Our assessments provide specific treatment goals for intervention. Psychological testing can be performed to evaluate emotional status and personality functioning.
Treatment options include individual, family, and marital therapy. Sometimes special group therapy options are available. Parenting workshops are also available periodically to provide instruction in understanding and improving behavior in children. Behavior therapy is an integral part of our treatment plans, given it's proven effectiveness in modifying behavior. Our goal is to provide relief from disabling emotions and the elimination of dysfunctional behaviors. Click here to read more about our clinicians and their specialties.
